Well... I BELIEVE next summer I MIGHT (slim chance, but MAYBE) be in Europe all summer, what would it take to just bring my car along and mob around in it all over Europe? anyone know? Can anyone find out for me? lol I'm talkingabout countries in the EU [European Union]

Any advice? the 'gf' is trying really really hard to be able to go there over the summer, because she has a dual citizenship (Great Britan & US) so she could get a job over there for the summer.. atleast thats my understanding of it all...

Checking out ferry prices that have finally been published it looks like there is little pricing difference between spring and summer as long as they are booked soon enough. I will check with the other UK travellers.

What i could do with is people to contact the 'Ring and maybe Spa to see when there track availabilty dates will be published.

For Spa it is to see if there are any trackdays we can get in on (or even have our own) around the end of May.

For the 'Ring it is to see if there are any halfday openings around that time or any dates when the track is not available.

Help would be most appreciated! Thumbs up!

Update

The Nurburgring have their opening dates online at last.

A quick look shows the best long weekend to be the 14-15-16 May.

The ring is open from 8:00 to 19:30 each day.

Another option may be the 25th as its open from 13:00 to 19:30

For those coming over from the UK its makes little difference to which day as were on holiday anyway but for those europeans working let me know your thoughts.

As well as wanting to visit some of the other alpine passes during the trip other tracks could also be visited, ie the one in austria, maybe Spa etc. If anyone finds an event to get involved in or one that can be orgainsed in the second half of May then that certainly can be incorporated.

Hey Jon,

I'd opt for 14-16, the 25th my future parents in law will be over and I may not be able to tag along (although I was planning to take my future brother in law to the ring when he's here around that time).

Ferry crossings for me are nearly affordale around that time ! I would arrive in Belgium [Zeebrugge] about 11:00am on the Saturday morning. I think the long weekend would be best as it means that the laps can be done at our leisure and we can continue on the Monday if we want

Hi Jon,

Indeed, mondays are best, sundays usually are the busiest though.. But it should be fun to stay a long weekend.

Anyone up for camping?Smile

i think i will camp too Wave

would be great if the nürburgringmeeting will happen. if we work out to have a 2nd meeting one week later at an austrian ring (or anywhere else - suggestions are still welcome!) it would just be perfect. anyway, we will have to check the dates first....

for the nürburgring i also would preffere monday to get the most out of it!
