hey, I live in washington... the state. and I saw the forums, then I took a look at my ae86 sitting outside waiting for its new 4age silvertop engine.

so yeah I picked up my AE86 from a guy for 800 USD. got it running. but it died again. it has a major overheating problem. plus the 86 being an sr5 it has the 4ac motor in it. Everyone I knew kept telling me to get rid of it and get a car that runs. But I know the cars potential and I like the car itself even though it is kinda beat up. Then I saved up enough money to get the silvertop and waiting for its arrival on monday.

Yeah thats pretty much how I got my AE86.

yeah it was a pretty good deal, except there were more cost trying to get the car than i paid for the car.

Let me start...

we towed my truck I traded for it for 500 of the price to him, about 300 miles from my house so towing truck up then towing car back = 140 with food and everything.

Then my grandpa who was driving hit another parked car in a wendys parking lot Volkswagon Passat bumper = 800

Then we fixed up the engine the first time, replace gaskets and newer parts = 100

then it broke down again in the town 20 miles away... so I decided to go with a new engine.

Then I learned about the 20 valve silvertop.

bought that 950 plus shipping = 1300

soooo... about 3,140 of my own hard earned 16 year old money well.. I'll be 17 next month. but thats excluding the install price of the silvertop which will add up to a bit.

btw here are a pic, nothing special off the bat but after I spend my time and a lot more money it will look a lot better.
