Carina TA60!
Hey people! My name is Thomas, 17 year old guy from Norway!
Picked up my first car some days ago, and because I have a passion for Old Japanese cars, and Japanese FR cars generally, it had to be one.

Soo, the car is a 82' Toyota Carina TA60. I havent found any rust at all on her yet, but i havent checked behind the backseats yet either..(common place for carinas to rust).
122k km's on it.
2 owners, I'm the third. I dont have any crazy plans for it, I just wanna drop it to the ground and find some nice low offset wheels for it.
Anyways, here's some pics!

The notorious 2T... it runs perfectly at least!

Remember, this is Kilometers, not miles!

Banpei, if you read this..

Got any tips for what springs i could use from a heavier car on this one? i was thinking of cutting a few coils to get a stiffer spring rate.. also,is it much of an hassle to make it a 2T-G ? just bolt on?

Nice! Thumbs up!
Judging from the pics that car could be the twin-sister of my Carina! Hurray!
But yours is more luxurious: you have headlight washers! Yummie!

Seeing you have a manual box the 2T-G is bolt-on and 4AGE is "easy" if you change the bellhousing to a 4A model.

I still have OEM springs on mine so I wouldn't be sure what springs would be best... My best guess is that the AE86 rear springs will fit: the axle is almost same and Toyota liked to reuse parts a lot. Tongue
The front has the same struts as the KE70/TE71 so most probably the AE86 front springs will fit as well.
But if you want to be sure: the TA60 Celica should have the same rear axle and front struts... (They are different for some other Celicas)

Thanks for the answer guys!

I'll look for some good AE86 springs then Smile this car NEEDS to be more low, and it has body roll like a MF.. haha!
