7 rib block for a bluetop head?
JuSt picked up a old blue top and it has a decent amount of rust on the outside of the block. I'm sure I could Cleanot it off and buff amount way the rust but I just got a 7 rib shor block for $30 and dint know if I could put my bluetop head on it.

Thanks in advance,
Dinkers

Big Grin
Its the block i mean,
as long as its not from an ae92 gti from 90-92(smallport) or a second or third 4agze version they will fit no problem.
Technically those fit as well but there is an external oil drain

Spun conrod bearing no 2 Banging head

Don't have the funds for now to do a full rebuild the way I'd like to, so was going to put the 20v block aside and buy a spare head and build it properly while I had a temporary 20v Head/16 Block in the corolla to keep me mobile. Sad

So sounds like I'll need to find a crank, rod and bearing set for now Sad

My 4age is a 7ribs with bigport head and tvis, works 100%. I had a 7ribs smallport in my old 86 and i remember that that car felt faster.
