20v/16v lightweight pulley kits
I was wondering if it is possible to use a full 16v pulley kit (crank, alternator and water pump) in a 20V engine (with 20v alternator and waterpump)
I'm under the impression that they cannot be mix matched (16v and 20v pulleys in the same engine) due to a misalignment between the crank and the alternator pulleys, but I am not sure if it is possible to use a complete kit from the 16v on 20v peripherals. Can anyone shed some light on this issue? Regards 86'LEVIN Track Project |

My friend use a complete 16v pulley kit on his blacktop (just add a small spacer under the alternator pulley for the misalignment)
Sadly I don't have any picture |

Thanks for the quick reply Project D.
Is your friend using only 20v components (alternator and waterpump)? If he is, then I guess I'll go with a 16v pulley kit. The spacer seems a easy enough mod that should not prevent the kit from performing correctly. Also, the crank pulley only uses one row, right? The second outer row shouldn't be necessary if your're not running AC/PS.

Far as I know my friend use 20V components yes.
And single row crank pulley is perfect if you don't have AC/PS ![]() My friend use the red set, I use the gold one (on my 16v) ![]() (all parts made by aussifan, some with my very own specs )

Thanks for the input Project D.
Do you remember what was the thickness of the spacer to make up for the misalignment? 86'LEVIN Track Project |

I don't remember but it will not hard to sort it out.
By putting the 2 pulleys side by side you will be able to mesure the exact tickness you will need. |
