Battery died. Headlights now go up but not down.

Hi Everyone,

I have a Trueno that was converted from a Levin. All along the headlights would pop up and go down when I use the light switch. However, a few days ago the battery died.

Because I was parked in an awkward spot I took the battery out to charge and then put it back in when fully charged. The car started and ran fine but the headlights now only pop up and do not go down.

I've checked all the fuses and they seem fine to me, but I can't figure out what's the issue. Would anyone have any ideas please?
