You will find the the sensor block at the back of the head will be very close to the firewall. If thats the final position for the coil packs you could replace the sensor block with one from an AE86 or AE82 one which is alot slimmer.

What gearbox are you going to be using?

Corolla Levin SR 1984 AE-85 (Project car)
Corolla Runx Z 2002 (Runabout)
