ok just been out to check.

All other lights are working fine. there is a connector that is 4 wires for sidelights, indicators and these lights.

The plug.

[GND][12v]
[???][12v] Ignore this, this is wrong...
^ That connection goes to those lights. it doesn't get 12v, it constantly has 0.05v

Have a look at the attached pic. the inside lights seem to act as you said that the outside lights should...

Any ideas.
