Manual steering conversion query

I've taken out my power steering set up and replaced it with a manual one.

Everything fine apart from one bit - connecting the steering rack to the steering column.

The shaft from the steering wheel is about 7-8cm too short to reach the rack Reason is the power steering joint is quite a bit higher as it sits on a resorvoir for the power steering fluid, so is actually closer to the steering column.

I guess they are different parts, and assuming I'm going to struggle to find the manual steering bar bit, what else can I do to fix it together? Surely someone else must have come across this problem
