|
1SZ Toyota 4 cylinder engine uses valve buckets of a one piece design. Each bucket is machined to a specific thickness. This allows a single piece (NO bucket AND shim), that is considerably lighter then the stock units. These lifters(one piece buckets) are the same diameter as the 4AG bucket, so they fit perfectly.
There is a alleged problem with using 1SZ buckets... extreme camshafts may cause them to distort.... I've heard of this.... but as of yet failed to see any. When I was working for Cyberauto... we recommend a set of 8 of the smallest buckets to use for sizing, and then once you had your sizes verified, you'd order the 16 you would need.
