How to: Front brake lines.

Ok, time to change brake lines? Here we go!

First, get a can or bottle that you can drip the old brake oil into so that you dont't make too much mess.

1. Remove the upper mount of the brake line, 10 mm:


2. Pull out the U-shaped pin that holds the brake line in the mount, easily done with a polygrip:




3. The mount on the front damper. I think there should be a U-shaped pin holding it here too, but there wasn't on mine. Then i just bent the mount carefully so that i could remove the brake line.


4. The final, 17mm. Just unscrew it. (Oooh! look at my new fresch beautiful bushings! )


5. Go get your new fresch brake lines and repeat in reverse.


The upper mount can be quite difficult with the both pins, there are a small one on your brake lines (i forgot to take a picture of it..) and the U-shaped one you pulled out earlier. I put both the pins on just little then used a hammer to get them both in place. The U-shaped pin go over the mount, the small other one below.


Finished result! Now just repeat on the other side and don't forget the new brake oil and bleed the brakes!
