If the test was done when warm then this would be an indication of excessive carbon buildup in the engine. It can only be corrected by performing a chemical de-carbonizing process on the engine or by removing the cylinder head and physically removing the carbon that is attached to the cylinder portion of the head and the tops of the pistons.

Could also be blown head gasket.

Test was done with a warm engine. Don't know how many cycles it went through though.
I intend to take the head off, is there anything to watch out for when doing this or is it fairly straightforward ?
