[HELP] - Interior Back Door Opening

Hi,

As i'm fitting a TRD spoiler in my Levin i have eliminated the back door opening button/key hole.

I'm planning to install an interior lever to open the back door from inside, similar to the ones that are fit in newer Corolla and Carina E.

However i need to know where i have to fit the steel cable in the back door in order to open the door when i pull the lever.
Do i have to buy a new back door lock? Is mine different from the GTS Levin that has this lever fitted from factory?

For example my Evo VI has an interior lever for the back door but it pulls the lock from the upper side (trunk door) but i think in the GTS Levin it pulls from the lowe side (body).

Any pics from how this system works in an AE86?
