which way does the piston rods go???

Hey Ivan....
The wristpin goes through the side of the piston, but the lube hole is on the front(or rear?) of the rod.If you look at the piston from the top (which by the way is a smallport high comp piston) the lube hole in the rod, can only point towards the exhaust valve side OR the intake valve side....does this make sense at all  Ive ordered a haynes manual, but it might take as much as 2 weeks for it to arrive
