acoustic shelf for coupe ae86

I got hatchback too. I used to drill lot of small holes and just screwed my speakers under the shelf. but the sound would not really out, you could not hear clearly the sound from back speakers. So after I got almost new OEM Shelf (got only 4 small holes on it), I make big hole on my old shelf and just screwed the speakers from top of the shelf, so when I play my music I could hear all out! Only my shelf is old and its getting softer. I must put some hard thing in the middle. The shelf now look a bit bend because of heavy 2 speakers
