the idea behind zip ties breaking when hitting cones or other course obstacles to spare the aero from damage isn't necessarily true or a guaranteed "benefit". what more often than not happens is the zip tie remains affixed to the metal portion of the chassis while the aero is torn away from it. you're then left w/ a piece of aero with not just a hole from the zip tie but a tear akin to having your earing ripped from your ear...ouch! it was more pragmatic in its initial use and has more prevalently become the new fashionable method of affixing aero. i prefer clasps Tongue
