Oil Coolers
I know the UK spec Levins come with oil coolers as standard, as I'm sure the jap ones do as well.
however, my car doesnt have one which is surprising considering the rest of the spec. I've spoken to a few people in the know, and it has been mentioned that the oil pump on the 4age is a weak spot. if my car is not running a cooler, adding one will increase the strain on the oil pump, eventually leading to bottom end probs. Only problem is, being a 4agze more heat is generated and I'm running oil temps of between 95 - 120 degrees and more often between 110 - 120 degrees. I would rather have it in the 70 - 100 degrees area. What are other peoples opinions on this? I'm gonna have more discussions tomorrow when I take my car to Julian Smith in Watford to have a few bits done. Cheers Si |
