I don't think the other lights are normal lights. If you look closely you can see a range of leds in the yellow turning light area. I don't like the red surface because it's simple and not nice on a old car, but the yellow and white areas are beautifull! A lot of power!
I think you can get the same results into the red area by placing a clear 'mat' plastic layer between the lights and the leds.
