You could just lay your own wire...it's just one little thing to fix. BTW, have you checked if the line you narrowed it down to is okay? Do your interior lights work, does the "door open"warning light on your gauge cluster light up? cause those are the only other things that take power from the same wire. If those dont work either then it could be a wire-break somewhere outside of the fuseboard.
