It took me less than 10 minutes to dismantle both the seats, 4 beers to wait for the washingmachine to get done and app. 10 minutes a seat to put back together again.

Thats about half an hours work and the car smells like new afterwards, and look far better than if you rub the dirt even more into the seat

I also replaced the metal rods as well: two of them were broken and the others were corroded heavily. Also had to fix one of the sidewalls of the seat. So taking that into account it took me well over 3 hours to fix one seat with a lot of disappointment afterwards. Sad
