By the way..a little disclaimer is appropriate here:

AFR is NOT a good way of gaining power in a new setup..It should be approximately ok (around 1:12 to 1:13 == λ:0.7~0., but changing from 1:12 to 1:14 does not gain you a lot of power.. (there is a nice graph somewhere in Corkey Bells books). Its more a way of managing temperatures and burnrates in your engine..Real power is made through changes to the timing (moving the pressure peak around so it can do the maximum amount of work..). AFR is then used to keep EGT's in a safe range and possibly surpress knock (slowdown burnrate..not the way to do it properly mind you..)
