I think I read about that project on some other message board(I detest trying to do searches on club4ag..). And unfortunately the thread was locked and I couldnt find any updates to his car since I believe 02 or 03.
Only thing I saw was someone building a Lotus Seven replica with a 2zz mated to a t50 tranny. His website has the picture of the metal plate he had to make to get them to fit.....
As for modifying it. Man, with 180hp, with a humble exhaust note and good low end torque for daily driving.. I think 180 is just fine. Although I am kind of suprised the aftermarket for the 2zz never caught on but since toyota is still putting them into cars such as the corolla-S and now even the Lotus elise I am hoping to see more highrevving NA 2zzge screamers being raced. (even if they do get their butts kicked by the honda's..)
