Hey oldskull,
Sounds like you did it good, make sure you leave the top cap of the radiator open aswell, more watter comes out then. When you use proper coolent it will slowly clean your system aswell. You flush with clean tab watter (coolent is to expensive for that) but you should fill your car with proper coolent, especially in this weather. Also when you fill your radiator up for real make sure you fill it good. Fill it up to the top, fill your reserviour up, let your car run warm. Let your car cool down and then top up the radiator. There will always be some air left in the system that should find its way to the radiator. The system doesn't cool properly if there is still air in it as its a pressurised system. THe reserviour at the left is just a reserviour, if its filled that doesn't garantee that your system is properly filled. Greetz, Bastiaan "mux213" Olij Moved down under, no more hachi ![]() |
