I think it was Ian that had this same problem, but only while drifting.
Take a look at the circuit opening relay and make sure it's firmly connected. I have also heard of these relays going bad causing problems like this...but it's more likely just a loose connection. If you keep having this problem after you've made sure that the relay is plugged in properly then you could try changing the relay, or perhaps temporarily apply a direct 12v source to the fuelpump (use a good size wire for that though) to see if that makes a difference. I'll try to give a short description of the circuit opening relay operation: There is a black&red power wire that comes from the EFI fuse... this is what the relay switches to the fuelpump. The switched power line to the fuelpump is light-blue&black according to the manual. The relay has 2 separate control coils that it uses to switch power on. One is only operated while the starter motor is turning...you should have 12 volts on the black&white wire while cranking. The permanent control voltage comes from the ECU when it's started...that's the green&red wire. The ground wire is white&black..(white with black stripe). You should be able to check the relays operation with that info. With that I conclude my over the top technical bla-bla. Good luck..hope you get it fixed soon FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |
