You can check the voltage suply to the AE86 injectors - it is 5V(after the resistor pack). The Ecu is on the "ground" side. To run high-impedance injectors you need 12V.
The "yellow" (as far as i remember) wire found in the big connector on the firewall is the injector power supply coming from the resistor pack. I remember it because when i swapped engines i tried to feed redtop injectors with 5V and they didn't work. Then i figured my mistake and everything was OK. To find the resistor pack one should look under the dashboard and around the air cleaner. AE86 GTS '84 Red Top |
