A printer is no problem at all for a hub but some devices that doesn't have their own power supply needs the power out of the USB port. 4 devices like this means it won't work unless the HUB has an adapter.

I have a hub with powersupply. If I unpower it I still can use all devices which have it's own powersupply, but not the ones without powersupply (e.g. memorysticks) unless they are the only device on the hub.
