engines
great thread
i have thinking about this a while ago. the prices for 20v are to expensive, also is it worth? the bottom end is nearby the same as on the ae92 16v, only advantage of 20v is the VVTi that makes him very good street driveable, then the wilder cams and the increased intake throught the ITB. but many peoples says(billzilla) the 20v is not so good for pover gains over 110hp per litre in case of bad turbulency in the intake but for the power to 100hp its better. you also says is better to build an plenham collector behind the Throttle body and i agree, the flow in the head ports will not be disturbed throught the butterflies, its similar construction as on turbo engines. also my dream setup: 92 bottom end: crank, conrods balanced, lightened, polished increased compression ratio(max 11,5 NA supercharge throught forged pistons Toda, but now i want the AWT pistons with 1mm overbore(i wait for more info and pricing)small port head-polished ported 242ratio cams from bluetop, celica 60mm TB and custom made plenham collector: an guy from denmark has build an monster hachi with turbo cca450hp and an custom 7,2L plenham with big bore TB. i think it can be used also on an NA engine. i have not any idea about ecu, i am not sure if the standart ecu and injectors can handle this setup. it might be possible to gain 160hp and good elasticity about wide rpm band? what yours opinion about this setup? http://www.86ers.org All the hachies that Daytona can only dream about. |
