from what i've heard the stock exhaust manifold is pretty efficient, its a nice 4-2-1 design anyway. It's only when you have a pretty highly tuned engine will it make a difference. The main restriction is on the intake side. So fitting one may make no difference to your car at all.
Having said that if i needed a new one i would be pretty tempted as well, but the £200 (once the specified shipping cost is added) the hks one is currently sitting at makes it pretty expensive anyway. Second hand manifolds sell for around £75-80 in Japan so the dealer is making a healthy profit ![]() But it has to be said that a shiney set of pipes does make the engine bay look nice even if they are contributing little to the performance. |
