interesting seeing the different regulations. In Ireland any car older than 30 years old, is 56euro per year tax (vintage car). Then at 40 years they are excluded from mandatory vehicle testing.

The tricky part is the vehicle testing, because they change the rules regularly. Almost to encourage cars to be scrapped so its quite hard to even pass first time.
