New chassis? New chassis! Hype?

Apparently, Battlegarage sold/passed on the first chassis to BigTime:

Their plan is quite simple: swap over an entire AE86 drivertrain to the new chassis. Unsurprisingly, they encounter a lot of issues:

• Wrong bolt sizes
• Misaligned holes
• Bolt holes missing
• Rightside roofline is half an inch off
• Awful panelgaps
  

Especially, the panelgaps are bad underneath the chassis: they used the reproduction chassis rails from SMCP (too difficult?) and then welded their own panels on that. The quality difference is quite apparent.

In the end, they manage to perform the swap and drive the car (albeit without any glass) without any issues.
