That kind of confirms my suspicions. 1) About 8-10 years back there was talk of Hasselgren developing a "new" 4AGE head. A new head from Toyota will automatically pass scrutineering, where as one from Hasselgren likely would not. 2) from my time in conversations with Arnie and his crew, block failures were directly related to rpm, and the ensuing block twist that would break the oil galley. So a new block with a more stout bottom end, and a new head with a bit more room for porting, a price of over $9000 for the pair tells me that these are primarily for F/A and N2.
