Yes Ivan is correct on this for the zenki (pre-facelift) type.
Trim code 2 = grey (SR5 and AE85) Trim code 3 = deep maroon (brown/tan) Trim code 8 = blue (AE86, SR5 and AE85) For the kouki (facelift) it's much simpler: all interiors were black/grey so they all have trim code 2 You can find the trim code on the firewall ID plate where it will have a code similar to GX21, FQ32, YA82 or something similar. Here the first digit is the trim code of your car and the second digit is 1 for facelift and 2 for pre-facelift. (I know, this really makes no sense!  )
