If your driving is halfway decent 1 to 1.5 degrees of negative camber will not be enough. If you take temps I'm guessing you'll end up somewhere 3 degrees plus. Probably more than 4.
The only way to know for sure is to either buy a tire pyrometer and take temps after sessions or to buy ultrasoft compound tires that wear down in one to two trackdays (and see if inner tire wear is in check). For example, my miata on Rcomps needs 3 degrees negative with better camber curves than the AE86 ever came with. I'm thinking you'll need at least a degree static camber on top of that to overcome the McPherson handicap. With that said, hitting the optimum is not that important. The car drives mostly fine with suboptimal settings, it just eats into the tire budget if its too far out of whack. A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |
