As far as the relay goes you need to isolate which one is causing the problem
locate the general area where the noise is coming from and then touch the relays to find the one that is clicking, you'll feel it 'tapping'

The relay shown is mounted up behind the glovebox.

yes white smoke casually coming out of exhaust pipe while warm..
