You definitely want to get a factory service manual. I have the US manual and there isn't a side bearing preload old/new bearing listing*.... there IS a new/used pinion bearing preload......

1.0-1.6N-m for new bearing, .5 -.8N-m for used bearing


Side bearing pre-load is tighten and measuring backlash
