In the back of the car, on the floor beside where the spare tire sits, there
are some connectors. Two or sometimes three. The plug with two thicker wires is for the fuel pump. Jumper (bridge, short) the two-pin yellow fuel pump test plug under the hood, then turn the key on. Check for 12V to ground off one of the pins on the FP power supply plug at the rear. The ground wire on the pump connects to the pump bracket inside the tank. There is a ground wire from the outside top of the bracket to a ground point somewhere under the plastic trim at the centre back of the luggage compartment. The three-pin plug beside the FP plug is for the fuel level indicator and the low fuel warning light. And there is another plug on my car that so far I have not been able to identify. It does not have anything to do with the fuel tank. Cheers... jondee86 |
