It will fit without problems.. it actually sits a lot lower than the metal plate.
And even if it didnt..a remote reservoir is not so difficult to build. I would agree on the welding fetish remark..I forgot how my ae drives a long time ago but I sure like welding it. I promise it will see paint this year (even though it might only be an epoxy basecoat to protect the blasted chassis). Now that reminds me of another thing: I should weld a bracket for a brake master cylinder stopper to that shock tower while I'm at it...(since LHD ones are hard to find and they are usually overpriced anyway).
