Common misconception, the LS engines are only about 40 pounds heavier than the rotary, because they have Aluminum blocks and heads. You have to relocate the battery anyway (well, most do to fit a bigger radiator) so you're shifting a lot of that to the trunk with the battery anyway

They maintain about a 51/49 F/R weight balance

I think there is closer to a 70lb weight difference. LS2 around 450, 13B around 380 from most reports.
