first of all 7/8 is no issue at all - I got a 7/8 on my car originally (4bolt pattern).

I don't know how much the rebuild kit costs around your place - when mine finally let go I simply took it apart and my friend at the garage sourced the kit for ~10$. I think some Hilux/4runner use the same design. As far as I know most of the rebuild kits are the same as long as they match the diameter (13/16) and are from a similar age Toyota.
