NoHachi Wrote:Can you post some more info on this on the forums?
Things like:
number of cars during event/out on track at the same time
on the trackdays and out on track not more than 30 cars are allowed. but our trackdays are always really chill so often when you are out you dont even cross other cars !!
Running groups (are there slow and fast groups, any regulations?)
during the trackdays the rule is open pitlane so you enter and exit the track whenever you want.
on the superlapbattle (time attack) event is divided into 6 groups, 0cc-2000cc , 2001cc -xxxxcc in 3 different classes. normally we let run the fast groups together. i cant tell you more about the division of the groups yet.
Average speed, skill and type of drivers
mostly underpowered cars like ae86s or miatas, only very few fast cars like m3's or lancer evo's, most cars runs on streetires, few on r-compound , very few on slicks.
max speed on track with a ae86 is around 140km/h, e46 m3 or evo6 manage do get 180km/h there's only one straight where you can get that speed ! track is very technical, lot of 2nd gear corners ! you can easily outrun guys with powerful cars , for example guys with ae86 can catch up with 350z or s2000..
Any driving regulations/overtaking etc
normal rules like the one who's overtaking has to see how he will manage to get pass.
our trackdays are always really relaxed !! you wont find hardcore racer, grumpy people or porsche drivers , there are always few people who dont have a lot of track experience so we always watch out !!
its like a big family, everybody knows everybody... bbq togehter before...you wont be disappointed, really !!
keep in mind trackdays are only from 14h-17h
Chambley has been on my to do list for the coming year. Very cool track! I'm very curious about having a car slide in and out of the dip there.
But if its a group of club-racers then I will have to pass. There is a running group in the Netherlands that's mostly comprised of club level racers. Fast cars, slicks tires and asshole (competition) mentality. Contact is no big problem to them and courtesy in passing in non existent. Basically they use it as a practice day for races.
This sucks big time if you are in your underpowered daily driver on sticky streettires.
Its hard to tell how the groups are from the website. Lots of pics of all-out time attack cars, but the vids show are more mellow group of street cars with decent drivers.
on the superlap event there were few really good built cars but mostly a lot of underpowered cars , take a look at the time table :
most cars run above 2:05, cars were modified but only slightly.
