 TE72 listen. Nearly every Japanese car will idle around 1500-2000 RPM when its cold. (even my Honda Hybrid does this)If the gas paddle feels stiff or very "heavy" my only encounter with this problem was change the gas paddle cable. It will make the feel of your gas paddle increadibly different. Maybe you can oil it but I'd say if it hasn't been swapped in 30 years give it a gift. (and also your foot
