The suggested option by RAW Engineering to beef up the bracket is to weld diagonal struts to the sump, which is even more effort as the margin for error on the CAS positioning is extremely minimal. I mean, so much as an extremely thin washer to bring it further away from the trigger wheel prevents the engine from starting. Ordering up RAW's specified bracket that they have had no issues with seems like a more ideal option instead of fart arsing around trying to weld bits here and there. As I mentioned it also clears room for Oil Cooler lines at a later stage as I may look to strap a supercharger to the engine somewhere down the line...If I haven't sold the car first.
So, this is the pump I've considered. They can be had for around the £40 mark and I can mount it where the coil igniter would usually go for the Dizzy, as I'm no longer using that mounting bracket since running Coilpack. ![]() As for JAE, I don't trust the car on long journeys right now until I get this sorted.
