Matt's about to incriminate himself....
To mask it all up I started by going to the website of each of the companies and getting a copy of their logos. Then the logos were resized and printed out. Then the logos were stuck to the inside of the shell and traced through onto the outside with a permanent marker. All the Cusco stripes were carefully copied freehand. The whole inside of the shell was then covered in masking tape and then I cut the masking tape with a scalpel according to the design I'd drawn on. As you can imagine, it took one hell of a long time to do, you can see all the scalpel marks on the bottom picture. Here's the "making of" pictures: |
