Adding O2 sensor support
Currently I have installed a Cusco MFE ecu and it supports O2 sensor input.
Mine is a U.K spec. car and the stock ecu uses a potentiometer (VAF) to adjust mixture at idle and I think, cruise. It does not use an O2 sensor. I have disconnected VAF input to the Cusco ecu. I have a wideband controller that can simulate a narrowband sensor and I have tried outputing a narrowband signal to the ecu but nothing changes with the idle mixture, it remains very rich. The ecu throws up error code 5 which apparently is as you would expect "O2 sensor" Is there more to this than simply connecting an output to the ecu ? Thanks as always for any help An analogue brain in a digital World |
