My colleague in Australia used an AZ6 from MX5 (much the same as Altezza but different ratios) He fitted a shorter RX8 extension housing to locate the gear lever in standard position. To mate to engine sandwich plate adapter and custom rear crossmember mount. As mentioned some modification to clutch assembly and clutch fork (There is also a thread on this topic on http://www.hachiroku.com.au/forums/ )
