Corolla GT-Z twin cam 16 (4A-GZE)

Hi all,

I just bought this car last week. Better pictures will follow!

The car has very nice parts and upgrades like:
- 4AGZE engine (AE101 165hp)
- Race clutch
- TRD LSD
- Short shifter kit
- Swift springs
- Tociko HTS
- T3 camberplates
- RCA`s
- Bushingkit installed
- Wiechers front strutbar
- T3 Adjustable panhard
- Alu gastank
- Sandler sport seats
- Scrotch 4way seatbelts
- Sparco steeringwheel

The body and chassis are in need of big time tlc and welding..

Plans:
In the end it will be a street drivable car witch is prepared to go for a track day. There is so much stuff to do so lets start an overview:

- Tighten belts, check timing etc. = Done
- Fix and fault finding engine idle speed (2700rpm) = Done
- Fix electric fan (turning wrong direction and not jet controlled by thermostat) = Done, not the thermostat though
- Fix bracket of alternator
- Fix heating control cable etc = Done
- Brake check
- Engine TLC (fluids and filters)
- Replace other wing

At this point I would like it to get MOT test done but first I need to get some chassis welding going. At the moment I think I will do the necessary stuff and not a full chassis rebuild at this time (future project). So I think I will start with cleaning the interior with powered steel brush to find all the rust. Find spots around and underneath the car for welding. Depending on this I will do it myself or I will hire a welder.

After welding a good preparation/conservation is a must off course, then its time for the MOT test. Next up:

- Oil cooler (Mocal?)
- FMIC and piping
- Goodridge brake lines
- Recondition Celica Supra wheels
- Recondition 15 inch wheels
- Reinstall interior
- Put original gas tank back (weld old one or buy new?) = Got one, will be installed after welding.
