Just putting in ae92 shocks will give you no lowering at all, but you will have a major problem because the shocks are not long enough to be used with stock springs.

It's the springs that define how low your car sits. Important is that your shocks match your springs. Take stock springs and the ae92 shocks that the shocks will just be hanging inside the strut case.

The proper install is to shorten the struts and use different springs, preferably something adjustable so you can fine tune it.

You need to shorten the struts, the ae92 shocks are 6 or 7 cm shorter then the ae86 ones, most people shorten the struts by 4cm and fill up the remaining space with spacers so the shock nicely fits inside the shortened strut.

Then you can finetune it all. You have to think this out carefully though because if you make your car to low by setting your springs to low (assuming you went adjustable) or when you position them to high, then your shock wont work in its optimal range.
