Yes it is the weight, but not only. I don't know other manufacturer who ever made such a living, responding and revving engine, you find in the RWD Corolla.
It is the engine, with some sheet metal around that makes it. My opinion, after I am trying now desperately to come at least close to a hachi with my other toy - MX5 NA. The 318is is by far not even close to AE86... I am really out of ideas, who ever made something at least close to the AE86.
