Yes the harddog ones are better.. Mostly because they have welded connections between the diagonals and the main hoop. Right now, if you roll the car, all the forces will rest on the two bolts connecting the pieces. I would suggest that you take a good look at them. While you're at it..take a good look at the mounting plates. Sometimes they are a bit flimsy and the pipes puch right through them in a crash.That said: sometimes something is better then nothing..certainly in a miata. At least the design is triangulated and has rear diagonals. You can always have a local fabricator add some features in the future if you decide to get serious about racing. PS: add a low pressure turbo to that machine of yours and you have the potential to do low 8min laps on the nordschleiffe and hunt down GT3s. Its really amazing how crazy fast a miata can be with 3000-4000euro's worth in mods (2000 if you buy secondhand). A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |
