Carina stage 3!!

Time for another engine transplant on the old TA63.
The original 3tgteu had been removed when i got the car so i spent a bit of time and installed a rollcage- trd lsd trd front and rear suspension, coil overs power steering and getting a panel& paint job done completing the first evolution of my track day beater.

Ran it for about a year with the std 1uzfe engine having a ball beating down on it until finally it picked up number one big end bearing- ending constant braggin about how reliable my car was!

Plans from there were to simply rebuild the v8 upping the compression- adding some better cams and a set of 8 throttle bodies- until i spied a 2002 3rzfe engine package for a very nice price resulting in the 1uz and all its associated bits being offloaded to a friend in need.
early days on the 3rz conversion right now having only just finished the engine and transmission mounts today and mocking up the custom sump.
improvements to the 150hp commercial engine planned include a decently sized turbo- head work- custom inlet with 4age quad throttle bodies- remove the balance shafts- aftermarket pistons and connecting rods- MS3 engine management, just to name a few.

So heres my ever evolving work in progress
